School Photos – A Tradition
School photos have been an annual tradition for a very long time. These photos mark the milestones of our children at each grade. It may feel like there are reasons not to do it this year because well quite honestly, its been one crazy year where life has been turned upside down and we no longer know what normal life looks like. Besides the schools are not offering the service anyway. Maybe by now, you’re feeling like you just want to take your losses and get this year over and done with! I get it and I understand if this is how you’re feeling. It’s completely ok, really.
2020, Covid, and Growth
Time is a funny thing, 2020 will pass with certainty, I mean we’re already in October and only a few short months away from a new year. And with certainty our children will be different from one year to the next. They grow so quickly, their personality might not change dramatically but they do grow and evolve and they are different people from when they were 5 years old versus who they are when they are 7 years old or 12 years old. So, that would be a reason why school photos are tradition that is not easily given up.
2020 has encouraged us to do things differently. Social distancing, lockdown measures, Covid circles has been a thing to navigate and we have missed out on a lot of our normal activities. So maybe this means we do school photos differently too.
School Photos Can Be Fun and Easy
I’m happy to offer fine art school portraits which are modern and fun! And take place outdoors at your home in order to keep us all safe. Let your children be treated to a custom photo session where they get to be who they are. A school photo session where they are relaxed and there is no rush for genuine smiles and expressions.
As much as I get why you might want to skip school photos, I’m encouraging you to not let the annual school photo be one more thing that gets missed. Get in touch to set up your session here or call me at 416-806-4478!
